The retrenched staff of Hindustan Motors/Hindustan Motor Finance Corporation Ltd and their loved ones users are waiting for a decision on their upcoming from the DMK govt headed by Main Minister M.K. Stalin.

On Oct one, the retrenched staff and their loved ones users commenced their indefinite sit-in strike.
The protest was flagged off by CPI MP K. Subbarayan and was wound up late that night.

According to Srinivasan, Hindustan Motors acquired about 356 acres of agricultural land in 1968 at Tiruvallur for its earthmoving gear division.
To begin with Hindustan Motors purchased the land instantly from the proprietors. But it was not capable to get the extent it wanted and sought the District Collector’s support. Later the enterprise deposited the land price with the govt treasury and the govt transferred the land to the enterprise, Srinivasan explained.

“We want our land back again so that we can do farming and deal with our households,” Srinivasan explained.
“Our land is there. The previous operator — C.K. Birla team and new operator Stellantis Group — are also there. The auto plant is also rolling out Citroen brand automobiles. Only we are not there. This is not just,” Ismail and Srinivasan experienced explained.
